"PUBERTY"
October 8, 2009PUBERTY-Usually happens between the ages of 10 and 16. During this period, the body grows rapidly because of a substance called growth hormone. This hormone acts like a messenger as it enters the blood and makes the body start to grow and change.
So sometimes, the parts of the body grow at different rates. The hands, feet, arms, and legs may grow faster than the rest of the body parts. It is also the time that sweat glands are developed fully. So it is normal for boys and girls to have acne or pimples.
If your a boy, your voice may have become deeper following a transition period when your voice “crack”. Your muscles are larger and stronger and your shoulders are probably wider. Soon you may notice a thin mustache growing near on your upper lip.
If your are a girl, your hips are probably wider now and your breast have become bigger. Soon you will be having a menstrual flow.
